Agenda
The City Council agenda is distributed the Friday prior to a formal Council meeting.
Agendas are available after 3:00pm in the lobby of the Civic Center or on the Iowa City/Coralville
Area On-Line Resource at:

Public Input
Citizens should feel free to contact City Council Members about
any topic by phone, email, FAX or letter. Citizens also have the opportunity to speak publicly
to Council regarding any agenda item at the time the item is considered at the formal Council meeting.
The public may comment on any topic not on the agenda during the Public Discussion portion of the formal Council meeting. Remarks are limited to five minutes per speaker.

The City Clerk is responsible for keeping ordinances, resolutions, minutes, and the City Code. The office publishes notices, ordinances, and minutes, and assists staff and pubic in researching information. Taxi company licenses, dancing permits, outdoor service area and sidewalk cafe permits, cigarette and beer/liquor licenses, and cemetery deeds are issued from the Clerk's Office. The Iowa City Domestic Partnership Registry is maintained by the City Clerk. The office also provides required services for City elections, a notary public service, and is custodian of the City Seal.
